It's not a big secret that one of my passions is kayak fishing. In fact, I have been suprised that more people have not taken advantage of the great fishery that we have here on the Tallapoosa River. I have sponsored a kayak fishing team to help in the promotion and instruction of kayak fishing. Along with being a competitive team, competing in kayak fishing competitions the guys will also be the go to pro-staff to help anyone interested in getting into the sport of kayak fishing. You do not need a lot of fancy equipment to enjoy fishing from a kayak. I think it is one of the best ways to fish in small waters and rivers. The team will be available to anyone that would like some information on equipment, methods, or advice. Just send me an email and I will put you in contact with one of the guys. They will probably take you fishing! The team is also sponsored by Legends Outfitters and Fishing Tackle in Kennessaw. The guys have access to equipment and specialty tackle to meet all your kayak fishing needs. Don't let their serious faces in the picture fool you. They really like to have fun and can catch fish. They have tourney wins under their belts and are always out on the water.
And just so you will know some of the things that swim the Tallapoosa River, I thought I would include a little spotted bass I managed to land on 08/23/11. I had two more break the light line I was using and caught another about the same size. The fish were all concentrated in a 100 yard stretch of river. Rent one of the Jackson Coosas I have available and try your hand at some Tallapoosa River Kayak Fishing!!!
