Did a little on river research this morning between Broad St. and Liner Rd.  The river was running well with no obstructions.  This trip is the standard Tallapoosa Paddling Company float and is filled with sand and gravel bars to have lunch, get a tan or just relax and listen to the water go by.   The Tallapoosa River is one of the  best lazy river floats in West Georgia.

The Tallapoosa River Association braved the high water and cool winds and proceeded with the Tallapoosa River Clean up between Garner Rd and Poplar Springs Rd in Haralson County.  The plan was to go from Garner Rd to Monroe Mill but the water was moving so well and we were having so much fun that we went on to the next bridge at Poplar Springs Rd.  All in all, it was a big success and we look forward to more trips and service projects on the river.

The Tallapoosa River clean up volunteers are paddling on Saturday to get the river ready for the paddling season and provide you with a clean and safe river to enjoy.
